After School Club Senior Playworker

Responsibilities:

To assist the manager to plan, prepare, provide and supervise creative and appropriate play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.

To provide full care for the children including collection of children from classrooms and the safe delivery to parents and/or named carers.

To assist the manager to ensure that a snack is provided that meets the required standards of hygiene, health and safety.

To consult with children and involve them in the planning of activities.

To provide support and supervision to playworkers/ bank staff/ volunteers.

To administer first aid as appropriate.

To encourage parental involvement and support for the club.

To contribute to good communication with all members of the club and with the wider community including parents, schools, and childcare agencies.

To undertake training which may be required by the registering authority and to contribute to professional development.

To monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.

To carry out any other duties as instructed by the manager.

To work within agreed policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Level 2 or 3 in a childcare qualification is essential.

Working Pattern

Post 1: Monday - Wednesday & Friday from 3.00am - 6.15pm & Thursday from 12.15pm - 6.15pm.

Post 2: Monday - Wednesday 3.00pm - 6.00pm.
