Salary £9.91 per hour

Hours 30 per week

We are a successful pre school with an outstanding RAG report and in February 2010 were successfully re-accredited by the Pre School Learning Alliance. We can Offer you, A designated permanent and well resourced setting with a good outdoor area. The Pre-School is on the same site and works in close partnership with the friendly and successful Old Heath Community Primary School.

Responsibilities:

Use of Old Heath Community Primary school facilities including a large field, school hall, nature garden, pupil kitchen ICT facilities and Staff room.

Full support for your own and your team’s professional development.

A highly trained well qualified team of staff.

Be committed, self motivated, enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills
Organise and implement the general running of the Pre-School.

Ensure outstanding standards of care and education are provided at all times.

Lead by example and set the standards of outstanding practice.

Ensure regular cycles of planning and reviews are engaged, informed by accurate record keeping through observation.
Including information of individual children’s next steps in using the EYFS.

Ensure that safeguarding procedures are strictly adhered to.

Ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Organise and implement set administrative and financial procedures ensuring best value for the setting.

Have a sound understanding of the pre schools policies and procedures and to ensure that parents staff and visitors are aware of them and adhere to them.

Ensure that the Pre School Development Plan and the SEF are regularly reviewed and are cascaded to all staff.

In partnership with the Pre School Committee to manage the daily routine of the pre school including staff management , delegation of duties and health and safety.

Maintain staff ratios and ensure staff are deployed effectively to carry out duties and supervision of meals.

Promote positive attitudes to diversity and difference.

Encourage and support staff in training to improve their knowledge and practice.

Qualifications and skills:

Minimum NVQ level 3 in an Early Years subject of equivalent

Proven leadership and management skills
